Yah!!! When in doubt, call them at HG. Technology only seems to work to a point, then an old school phone call saves the day. Does anyone other than me think that technology acts counterproductive to our human need to talk directly to someone? My biggest pet peeve is drive throughs. Most companies bust their butts to serve the lazy customer who can't bothe to get off his ass to come in to their place of business and ignores those that do. Perplexed by that one.

I guess someone must have bought up all the Roeselare. It says out of stock.

I was recently at the brouwers cafe which rated the highest beer bar on ratebeer - underwhelming but the lamb burger was good. worth a trip if you are close to downtown seattle

Big Time, Elysian & Pike in Seattle. I've also heard that Freemont is good, but it opened since my last visit. If you get near Mt. Hood then visit Walking Man. Visit Silver City (Silverdale) if you get across the Sound or if you go up the 5, then stop at the Fishbowl (home of Fish Tale Ale) in Olympia. Also look for Diamond Knot IPA on draught. Enjoy the beer & the scenery!

Next Event: Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day - November 7th, 2009
Desiree, Thursday 15 October 2009 - 03:55:01PM // Comments are turned off for this item

Bring your family & friends, come teach and learn about homebrewing!

High Gravity and the Fellowship of Oklahoma Ale Makers (FOAM) invite you to join us as we celebrate the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) 11th Annual Teach-a-Friend to Homebrew Day.

When: Saturday - November 7, 2009 - 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What: FOAM members will brew on site, teach friends and guests about brewing, and answer questions. You can watch or help, sample homebrew, and have some fun! Set-up starts at 10:00 a.m. Let's get to brewing by 11:00. We will brew until folks are done, probably around 5:00 p.m.

Where: High Gravity Homebrewing Shop at 7164 S. Memorial Drive in Tulsa, OK (SW Corner 71st & Memorial). Telephone (918) 461-2605

FOAMers: Please bring your gear and come brew with us.
All volunteers that brew will have the ingredients donated by High Gravity. We will be brewing on the sidewalk in front of the High Gravity shop, showing folks what we do and answering questions. High Gravity will supply the water and you bring everything else. Brew whatever you want any way you want to brew it. Set up starts at 10:00 and we would like to be brewing by 11:00 a.m. Bring some homebrew too to share with our visitors. Bring friends and family and share the fun!

Guests: Please join us November 7. It will be a great time and you will learn some things too. Whether you are just curious about homebrewing, you’re a beginning brewer, you’re curious about all-grain and other brewing techniques, or if you just want to meet homebrewers and sample some brew!

Beginner’s Brewing Workshop starts at 11:00 a.m. inside the shop. High Gravity proprietors Dave and Desiree Knott will brew an extract and specialty grain batch, and will demonstrate all the required techniques including racking and bottling.

Questions and RSVP
FOAMers - If you will be there, please send an E-mail message to E-mail Link. Let me know whether you will brew, and what sort of brewing system you have. If you have any questions please call High Gravity at 461-2605.

Desiree Knott, FOAM President
