It's so [censored] hot that my eyeballs are sweating. When will we get a break from this crazy humidity? I have worked out in the yard for two evenings in a row until nine and came in as spent as my mash grains and soaking wet. At least my mash gives up wort for the punishment of heat and water. Me, I got nothing.

Day 2 brew 2. Top temp, 102. Flies interested in the mash. Boiling wort, not so much. No flies were harmed nor consumed ... to my knowledge.

finished cleanup, temp 88 and climbing, was not any way I was going to do it yesterday afternoon

lot of flies this time, must be due to all the rain we have had

I have posted the application for ABLE homebrewer's license. Click on the link in the main menu of this site. You must have the free Acrobat Reader. After you open the file you can complete and print the form from your computer. Then you must have it notarized and mail it to ABLE. Instructions are on the form.

got a new 25cuft storage freezer and it sure holds a lot of kegs, only trouble is that it has this beeping alarm to tell you that it lost power, being on a temp controller it always loses power, may have to did into it to disable it

For those interested in good English ale, Hepworth from Sussex just posted three beers for OK including their Pullman (Premium Bitter) Ale, Hepworth Iron Horse (ESB) & Old Ale (Dark Mild). Also Belhaven, Wells Banana Bread & Youngs Double Chocolate Stout are now available in cans. Cheerio!
